A Big Thank You

I just love purple and green together. I made this for my WW leader. She was so helpful my first week (I started yesterday). Besides, I wanted to make a card really bad. My craft room is such a mess but I couldn't wait to clean it up to make a card! If I did, I would NEVER make anything! Ha!

Happy Birthday Sammy!

Tomorrow, my best friend's middle son will be the big 1-0! Double Digits! Here is the card I made...

Forever Young Cartridge Purse

I finally broke down and purchased the Forever Young cart. I didn't think I would have a use for it since I am the mom of two boys and a Star Wars Cartridge would be better for this house (Hey Provo Craft, are ya listening?!) But I found that there are so many purses on this cart and I love it!

Now before you take a gander, please keep in mind, I am very, very, mechanically challenged. I can't put together kits, paper crafts, etc. So, this, my friends is an accomplishment!

This is Flower number 8 Purse. I also did the flower as well. I ran the middle part of the flower through my Xyron and then glittered it up! I also inked the leaves and the remaining flower and added a bling to it. It is perfect for a couple of Hershey's Kisses inside!

Until Next Craft!

Aunt Word Book

My aunt's birthday is on Halloween and I have been meaning to send this word book to her at Mother's Day but I flaked. So, I am determined to send this ontime for her birthday!

Birthday Card....Take Two

I started making a card from "Card making with the Cricut" and it went in a totally different direction but I think it is cute nonetheless....

Until next craft!

Celebrate!

Since my husband assured me that there are no more mice in my craft room, I went into my room and make a birthday card.....

Hope you have a great Sunday afternoon! It is pouring rain and very, oh so very windy here!

Until next craft

Is there a mouse in the house?!

I am so bummed! I have found, I thought was 1 mouse in my craft room but it turns out (after the pest control guy came), there were 3 mice that have decided to put a change of address to my craft room, my sanctuary! We are hoping the last mouse is caught. I have not stepped foot in that room since last week! I have thank you notes and invitations to do! Can't Mickey and his friends understand that!? Anyway, I will return, hopefully this weekend after my husband goes in there and white glove cleans it!
I will be the lunatic holding a soup ladel behind him!

Please forgive me if the thank you to my wonderful co-creators of my blog hop are late!

Teacher Appreciation and a Gift Card Holder

I am lucky enough to stay home with our boys. I am also lucky enough that I get to volunteer at Jacob's school. The class is wonderful. I believe it is because of Mrs. Green. She is in her 30th year of teaching and she was simply born to teach. So, I decided that it would be nice to thank you for having parent volunteers.

Mrs. Green and Jacob, our oldest

The card was made from a DCWV stack and I used PTI Button Bits stamp set. It is a 5.5 by 5.5 inch card.

The next project that I have neglected, unfortunately because of things that always seem to happen when I need to do something important and have promised to do it. A follower of my fan page on FB won a $25.00 gift certificate from Michael's at the beginning of the month but then, like one has to do with the other, we discovered that we had a bunch of Mickeys (mice) running in our home. Holy Snickies! I have been pretty much trying to deal with exterminators and running around with a soup latel in one hand and a bottle of anti-anxiety pills in the other. I am terrified of mice. Sorry, I digress....

I made the gift card holder idea is was made from, "Card making with the Cricut". Surprisingly, I didn't know all the Cricut cartridges have as much as they do. I cut the WIMG cartridge. I then punch out a slit for the card with the Stampin' UP! word window punch in the middle.

Until the next project.....

The best thing that's ever been mine!

Today, 9 years ago, I took a leap of faith and love when I married my husband. The world was uncertain at the time due to 9/11 but I was never so sure about anything as when I said, "I DO!" I made another card for my husband from Cardmaking from the Cricut.

Photobucket

I wanted the card to be more manly so I chose different colors than the book.

Until the next craft!

New Things on my blog

First, look to your left! Don't you love it? It is my new button that you can grab now! Please feel free. The wonderful designer can be located at http://www.designsbysarahbryan.com/. She is very reasonable and easy to work with. Thanks Sarah!

Okay, so I wanted to show these cards before the blog hop but forgot because I was so excited about it!

The first card is a birthday day. I used Kraft cardstock. I ran a white inkpad on a layer and then stamp with my favorite stamp...I watercolored the flower and then used some glossy accents to some of the flowers.

Photobucket

The second card is card lift. I got the idea from Mary. Click HERE to see her video. I made this for a baby shower

Hope you all have a great Monday!

BFF Explosion Box

I don't know how, but I had a feeling that I needed to make something for my BFF, in Maryland. Julie and I have been friends since we were 8 years old and have stayed close since then even though we are 3000 miles apart. No matter what happens we are always there for one another.

She is, above all else, a mother, to five beautiful children. I wanted to make her an explosion box of her children: Her favorite colors are grey and purple.
