Flight of the Butterfly

When I went to Joann's yesterday, they had a sale on their paper stacks! I purchased the Mariposa stack! You must run, don't walk to your nearest Joann's and get this pack. Such gorgeous paper. I wanted to make a card, just for the sake of making one. I thought I would chose one of the butterfly patterns but I chose something different from the stack and used my MS butterfly punch instead.

This is a standard A2 card. I cut the oval from GBS cart. and I used a journaling tag stamp for the middle of the oval.

MMMMM...Hot Fudge

I am a lover of House Mouse stamps! I love each and every one of them. I made this card for my daddy. He  is always there for me and my family. He drives up 99% of every weekend to spend time with us and babysits to give me and the hubby a break! He just in love with his grandsons and they love them right back. I saw this stamp and thought of him. Besides, he loves fudge.

Twice the Pleasure

I wanted to make a card for my mother in law. Just because. I am pretty lucky that I have a mother in law that is so sweet and loving.

You look almost human

I thought this stamp was so cute, I had to use it. It's for a male friend, so I thought it would be on the funny side!
I used my stamp ink and a water pen to color the bunny in.

Train Thanks

My best friend (and her family) had an extra ticket to go to "A day out with Thomas the Tank Engine" so, they invited my youngest, Matthew. He had a blast! I wanted to send a thank you note to my best friend's mother in law because she purchased some trinkets for Matthew. This is the first time using the CAC cartridge. I used tire brads and the word "Thanks" is from GBS.

Bee Happy

I wanted to do a YouTube series on Cards with the Cricut book. I started with the first card and I changed up a bit and it took too long to make the sample so, I decided to do the video another day.

I used the Home Decor for the Bee and the scallop circle. I also used the swiss dots folder and black gg ribbon, scallops punch and inked the edges.

Exciting News!

I received an email from Sarah @ http://www.pinkcricut.com/. She asked if I wanted to be part of the next Blog Hop on 9-11! I had asked her about how I become part of a blog hop after seeing one a couple of weeks ago. I told her I was interested in getting my feet wet!

I am so excited to be grouped with the ladies that I have seen and admired on the past blog hops.

For some people, a new car or a new house is exciting. For me, being a part of this is just as exciting to me!

I have to go and do my happy dance!

Teacher Alisen Explosion Box

This box was created for another wonderful teacher from Humpty Dumpty Preschool. Alisen was so good to your students, espeically Jacob. She was/is a kid at heart. All the children adored her, as well as the parents. She made preschool a place to "find" your inner Piscasso,  place to imagine you wanted to be when you grew up, and mostly, learning through the simple task of playing. Unfortunately, Matthew was unable to attend Teacher Alisen's class and sadly, Humpty Dumpty had to close its' door after 44 years of servicing our community. HDPS will be missed. This one's for you, Alisen!

Jill WordBook (and a farewell to Humpty Dumpty Preschool) Video at the end of this post :)

I had the honor of having Jill as my boys' (one of) preschool teachers. Humpty Dumpty Preschool Parent Teacher Co-Op (say that 3 times fast) was for children ages 18 months to 5 years. Unfortunately, due to budget cuts, H/D had to close its' doors after more than 40 years of servicing our community. I, as a parent are one of the lucky ones. Jill, in a word to describe her: Amazing. She loves to come to work and she loved each and everyone of the children that walked thru the doors. Thank you, Teacher Jill....This one's for you.

Back of Letter "I'
These pictures of my younger son, he only went to H/D 2 out of the 4 years possible because he was accepted into a 2 day a week speach class, so we took it. I also computer generated the words, "Teacher Jill Rules" and "School Rules" to tie in with the front of the same letter.

Letter "L"
This page is my favorite. It celebrates the birthdays that the boys have had over the years with H/D. I only used stickes for this page.

I heart Provo Craft

I purchased a GYPSY about 3 months ago. I was scared and excited all at the same time about learning to use it! I got out all the goodies from the box (oh, did I mention I got a flippin great deal off of EBAY?!) and started to link my first cartridges and that is when it all went down south. The gypsy froze ALL NIGHT! I couldn't imagine that it would really take that long to load up ONE cartridge. So, in the morning, I put the gypsy away promising myself I wouldn't forget it. Well, fast forward to two days ago. I told myself that sometimes instant gratification can't happen all the time. By the way, that is concept that I am having a hard time with, but I disgress....Well, that is where the part of the gypsy takes a seat. I couldn't find 2 out of the 3 cords that I had 3 months ago. I am not surprised because I am famous, or it is infamous with losing things. I was advised by the cricut MB to call Provo Craft. I didn't expect much but I thought, what the hay. So, Jake told him he would send out 2 two cords I was missing AT NO CHARGE! I thought that was awesome. I told him what the problems I was having 3 month ago and he said to call again if that happens when I recieve the cords.

Now THAT is customer service.

Introduction to my craft room!

Sorry that it me so long to finally get the first video uploaded. I am very uneducated when it comes to computer things. Anyway, I give you my first video, Enjoy!

Missing You.....

I wanted to make a card for my husband...He is out of town a couple days a week....I tried something I never do, I wrote on my card on the front. I really dislike my handwriting but I thought why not? But I realized and confirmed that I will probably not handwrite on my card again.

Do you hear that?

I hear Blog Candy again! I wanted to tell you all like 2 weeks ago but I held out until today. 2 weeks until the first day of school. Can't hardly wait! So, on August 17, 2010, I am going to draw names (of followers) from the comments to the blog post that I will share on August 17, 2010! Wanna see what you could win?

It's a tote for on the go scrapping! I have one as well, it does come in handy when you just want to take a little project and few supplies or you need this bag because your bigger bag is NOT big enough! The best part is that it comes with a magnetic swivel to put on the bottom. So you have a Lazy Susan Scrapbag!

Nice day for a white wedding!

My hubby told me one of his co-workers was coming back today from his honeymoon and then a shinning light bulb went over my head...Word Book....The last name was pretty easy...SU...So, I knew it wouldn't take that long.....

I didn't know their colors and nothing about them: This is what I came up with.

Photobucket

The Mr & Mrs.
I cut this out from a 12x12 sheet of printed acetate.
Then cut out the Mr & Mrs in blue paper and then glued them together.

The back of the "S" is the groom's page.
Since I didn't have much space to work with, the picture sizes are smaller
