I am super excited to get to learn all the cool things about this little machine! I still kept my Cricut and all the carts because I can make my word books with the Cricut.

This card, I made for my husband! He has been off on vacation since 7/30. He goes back on 8/13. I wanted him to know how much I love him and think he is well.....awesome!

The silhouette cut out the words beautifully and effortlessly. I picked a lighter purple with the darker purple in the back so I could write a sentiment inside. I added some glitter to the star.

You can find the tutorial here. Dawn's easy to follow instructions makes this card extra fun to make! I used a flourish stamp that I had and finished off the card with stickles (diamond).
I love making them. They are a lot of work but a lot of fun to do. This book is my favorite one that I have created.

My client's daughter is name PIPER. She wanted to have a book showcasing Piper's first year of life. I had a lot of photos to work with so that made my job easy.

I used the DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Girl Stack. I also used Cordinations Paper. I added some ribbon from Walmart. I added stickers and embellies to complete this sweet book! Here are some pictures.

I decided that I wanted to try out my BIC/Sharpie markers (the poorman's Copic) to color in the stamped image on the card. I think I will need to get the fine tip version as well but I like the look of the card. Jayden likes purple and pink and butterflies.

This is a 5.5 x 5.5 inch card. I made the sentiment on the computer and glue it down to look like a banner. I finished off with a pink bow.
Hope everyone is having a great day!

Manly cards are not (or a lot of peoples') favorite card to make. So, I was totally surprised when this card popped up in my head and I am happy at the way it turned out!

I made an easel card. They are super easy to make! You can find the directions HERE

I used the Man stack from DCWV and the Handy Man Cricut Lite Cart. I had to a tiny bit of bling. Can't say no to bling!

<img border="0" height="640px" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MinrQu1zaxo/TjIFdFuJBFI/AAAAAAAAAKU/Ox7v-8pXcAI/s640/paint+birthday+card+man.jpg" t$="true" width="544px" />
Thanks for looking

This is a standard A2 size card (4.25 x 5.5). I used cordinations paper. I also used the Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge (say that 5 times fast). I used a scallopped border punch and inked the edges with TH distress inks. I completed the card with a knot and some pearls.

<img border="0" height="480px" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jIdclatpU14/TjC0Vo8LtLI/AAAAAAAAAKQ/4PCQQzMeZNg/s640/IMG_2490.JPG" t$="true" width="640px" />
Until next craft!mantecawife415http://www.blogger.com/profile/13972948291244354922noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5593998535271437771.post-77675560524191678072011-07-27T08:10:00.000-07:002011-07-27T08:10:34.366-07:00Center Step CardI saw this card made on Youtube. You can find it HERE The idea was originally for Split Coast Stampers.

The papers are from DCWV Crafty Stack. I used Lacy Labels for the center die cut. I also used one my new stamps from the dollar bin at the craft store. Some bling and a olive green ribbon for the final touches.

This is the front view
I wanted to share my new friends that I made.....I actually made them....hahaha....I started to make this project before my youngest son, Matthew was out of preschool. I wanted to make a "Career Book" for the kids to look at. I never finished project but I am bound and determined to finish this project. Here is what I have made so far.....

I used "Everyday Paper Dolls" Cricut Cart and Peachy Keen Stamps for the faces. I also added some stickles when needed (and they are ALWAYS needed!)

It has been busy at our house....My oldest son, Jacob lost his first tooth (well, naturally....there was an escalator incident in 2008 in which he lost 4 teeth but we aren't counting that, people!) He is very excited for the tooth fairy to come!

On to my card that I made....Jacob got some super cool shirts from his Aunt and Uncle and I wanted to make a card for him to write a thank you note. When I was at the craft store the other day, I found all these cool $1 stamps that I loved!

T'he papers are DCWV. I also used the "Stars" embossing folder and some TH distressing inks for the star. I used red ribbon and some pop dots!

I have to admit that I went through a dry spell. "They" say that every artist goes through one but my was especially long. I tried to make cards and what nots recently and ended up in the trash because it wasn't "perfect". But what is perfect anyway? I looked at my past scrapbooking and cardmaking magazines for inspiration. I decided to go to my craft and sit there, think, and make something. I promised myself that I wouldn't throw away anything that I made and I would post pictures....

The first card is a card lift from "Creating Keepsakes" magazine. I can't tell you the month/year of the issue because I tear my pages out of the magazine and put them in a binder. The papers are DCWV and the "You're beautiful inside and out" stamp is from....I don't know....it was in my "friends" stamp bin. I used TH distressing inks and I used my polka dot cuttlebug folder for the embossing. I also used fiskars scallopped edge punch And a brown bow for the finishing touch
The card is a 9x4 inch card and will fit in a legal size 10 envelope.

<img border="0" height="640px" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nfp0zNZ61Ts/Tijx6oPwFlI/AAAAAAAAAJY/t71HaLnW9hg/s640/IMG_2451.JPG" t$="true" width="480px" />

The next card is a smaller A2 size card (4.25x5.50) I used TH distressing inks, Cuttlebug folder (polka dot), DCWV paper (the friends panel) I used the Cricut "lacy labels" for the frame in the back. The same stamp for my stamp bin and a pink bow on the side for an added touch.

<img border="0" height="480px" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Vf3S7f0DqWY/Tijy4xe7I8I/AAAAAAAAAJc/503ldm7WuzM/s640/IMG_2452.JPG" t$="true" width="640px" />

Thanks for stopping by and I hope I can hear your comments. I wanted them to look similar to the invites so I used the same paper and embossed the cordinations paper.

This card is called a Tri-fold pocket card. I learned how to make it from the ever so talented Dawn (from Youtube). She is amazing and very easy to follow. Click here to learn how to make one.

Here is my interpretation of the card.

Until Next Craft!mantecawife415http://www.blogger.com/profile/13972948291244354922noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5593998535271437771.post-75668632381260152232011-02-24T07:21:00.000-08:002011-02-24T07:21:42.925-08:00Snips and Snails and Puppy Dog TailsI made some baby shower invites for a friend as a gift to her. I think they came out lovely! There is a lot of distressing which, I love. The "N" stands for Nolan, the new addition that's coming in the begininng of May!
I thought it was so very confusing. Well, yesterday, I didn't to give it another try but with a different "teacher". It did take me longer than the average Joe but once I got the hang of it, it was pretty simple. I love the concept of the double slider card!

Here is the card closed
I used this fabulous paper that I received from another friend. The paper is from SEI! LOVE IT! The stamps are from the Joann's $1 bin. I used the poorman's copic (Bic and Sharpies), flowers and flat back pearls. The card is 5.5 x 5.5!
I made this for my WW leader. She was so helpful my first week (I started yesterday). Besides, I wanted to make a card really bad. My craft room is such a mess but I couldn't wait to clean it up to make a card! If I did, I would NEVER make anything! Ha!
Double Digits! Here is the card I made...
I didn't think I would have a use for it since I am the mom of two boys and a Star Wars Cartridge would be better for this house (Hey Provo Craft, are ya listening?!) But I found that there are so many purses on this cart and I love it!

Now before you take a gander, please keep in mind, I am very, very, mechanically challenged. I can't put together kits, paper crafts, etc. So, this, my friends is an accomplishment!

This is Flower number 8 Purse. I also did the flower as well. I ran the middle part of the flower through my Xyron and then glittered it up! I also inked the leaves and the remaining flower and added a bling to it. It is perfect for a couple of Hershey's Kisses inside!
